The YMCA is heavily based off Christian values, as it aims to put forth Christian principles through all ages that come into the YMCA. It is a charity organization that allows for people of all walks of life to join whether they are financially able to or not. and contributes to the socio-economy through the money and effort back into the community.
For example, its runs a program called “Strong Kids” which collects donations from members, non-members and employees to help those children who are less fortunate to have a place to come and enjoy time with friends and take part in structured games.

In addition, they believe that material impoverishment undermines humans to fully flourish.
